Cisternerne - The Art Society.
The purpose of "De Frederiksbergske Slotshavers Venner" (Friends of Frederiksberg Palace Gardens) is to promote and contribute to cultural and artistic activities in Frederiksberg Have and Søndermarken. The society's platform is a cooperation between Slots- og Ejendomsstyrrelsen, Frederiksberg Kommune and similar societies and organizations in Frederiksberg. It is important to the society, through marketing, to inform about activities and to disseminate the knowledge of this cultural heritage through artistic contributions, guided tours and lectures.
"De Frederiksbergske Slotshavers Venner" was established in 2001 and its primary functions have so far been to build Cisternerne - The Museum of Modern Glass Art and to arrange guided tours of the garden.
