Cisternerne - Museum of Modern Glass Art
Entrance:
The entrance portals of Cisternerne - The Museum of Modern Glass Art are ideally situated in Søndermarken in beautiful harmony with the lovely baroque garden. The entrance portals signal a new era and make the passer-by stop short. The entrance portals have become a landmark, a sculptural part of Søndermarken and the museum. Sculptor Max Seidenfaden designed the portals.
Opening Hours:
Thursday and Friday 2 PM until 6 PM (November and February 2 PM until 5 PM) Saturday, Sunday, holidays 11 AM until 5 PM. Open by appointment
Closed in December and January.
Admission charge:
Adults DKK 50,- senior citizens and students DDK 40,- children up to 14 years free admission. Groups of 20 and above DDK 40,- .
Position:
You will find Cisternerne below Søndermarken on the area opposite the Zoo.
Handicapped:
Cisternerne regret that we do not yet have a lift or the like. We can help if you bring an escort, as you can use a wheelchair in the actual exhibition area.
Parking:
You can park in Pile Alle, Valby Langgade, Sønder Fasanvej or Roskildevej.
Bus:
Stops close to Cisternerne, Pile Alle (bus no. 26 and 18) Valby Langgade (bus no. 26 and 18), Sønder Fasanvej (Bus no. 4A and 171E) and Roskildevej bus no. 6A.
Subway ("S-tog"):
Valby and Enghave Station.

It will be possible to make special events and guided tours in the museum. Please contact us by phone or e-mail.
Membership:
You can sign a membership of "De Frederiksbergske Slotshavers Venner" which admits you to the exhibitions of the museum and the special events. Please see further information about that on our homepage under "Society" or contact us by phone.
